The Medicines Area at Skåne University Hospital (SUS) consists of three hospital pharmacy units that support care wards and clinics with pharmaceutical expertise. Approximately 100 employees work in the Medicines Area, including ward pharmacists, clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, administrators, and chief pharmacists. Most are based at SUS in Lund and Malmö, but several colleagues are also located at the hospitals in Ystad, Trelleborg, and Landskrona.

We are now looking for a Pharmacy Technician (Medication Assistant) for the Hospital Pharmacy Unit in Malmö. You will work with medication support for the hospital's care units, including fluid trolley service in our fluid storage.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your work with medication support involves a great deal of collaboration. You will be part of several teams and collaborate with colleagues both within your own group of pharmacists/pharmacy technicians, within the Medicines Area, and with other healthcare professions at the hospital.

Your tasks may vary, and you will work, among other things, with ordering and unpacking medications for the hospital's care units, managing medication stores, and promoting good medication economics. You will also work in our fluid storage with tasks such as inventory management, refilling fluid trolleys, ordering, and receiving deliveries, among others.

The role involves working together in the team to develop routines regarding work and the efficiency of workflows within medication support and fluid trolley service.

The primary placement and responsibilities may change as the operations develop.

The position is a fixed-term assignment (temporary).

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you if you are a trained pharmacy technician or have experience as a pharmacy technician that the employer assesses as equivalent. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. It is a requirement for the position that you have previously worked in pharmacy operations. It is meritorious for the position if you have experience from hospital pharmacies and medication service to wards and clinics. We see it as an advantage if you have previously worked in healthcare.

As a person, we see that you have a good attitude towards others and the ability to independently organize and structure your work. You are responsible, flexible, and have an easy time collaborating. Improvement work is ongoing to increase medication safety, which requires curiosity and a flexible approach to work. It is an advantage if you have experience working with other professions and are stimulated by multidisciplinary working methods. Parts of the work are performed manually, so you need to enjoy physical work.
